Gain Love, Insight and Fun with Big Fat Lies Women Tell Themselves With Amy Ahlers

By: Lisa Kotecki

We are so proud of our fellow sister Amy Ahlers and her Big Celebration today for her book launch!  Wooo-hoooo Amy!!!

Ready to expose the Big Fat Lies like "It's too late for me" or "I'm Not Enough" & discover the TRUTH about how fabulous you are?

You'll love this book! "Big Fat Lies Women Tell Themselves: Ditch Your Inner Critic and Wake Up Your Inner Superstar"  (
http://tinyurl.com/AmyAhlersBigFatLiesBook)

Does any of this sound familiar?
  • I am not lovable just the way I am
  • I don't measure up
  • If I say no, people won't love me
  • When I get ____ I'll be happy
I know I am guilty of feeling those things from time to time! Especially going out in the world, as I'm  playing a bigger and bigger game.  Big Fat Lies Women Tell Themselves is a tremendous resource for us gals to ixnay those thoughts once and for all!

Going through 59 common "lies" we tell ourselves, the book explores these Lies, and goes through exercises and affirmations to get us through to the other side of seeing the TRUTH of our MAGNIFICENCE, BRILLIANCE, and LIGHT to shine it through.

For those of you Goddesses who have been to one of our live events, you know the focus of our work is to create a place for women to become, to fully embrace the brilliance of who we all are as women, and to celebrate every single stage of our journey.  This book is an excellent tool for those of us that are feeling like we need some support to work through the "super zero unhero", the parts that feel unlovable, undeserving or not good enough in the moment.   It is one of those timeless books that you can keep on your bookshelf and reference time and time again.

I have personally (Lisa here) had the honor of working with Amy behind the scenes on this book launch, and have read the book and I can say Amy is a woman who truly lives the principles of the book.  She is every bit as warm-hearted, authentic, and kind as she comes across through the pages.  What you see is what you get!

Again, BIG BIG congratulations, Amy Ahlers!

May all our lights shine brightly as we walk the world living in our brilliance.

Love,

The Goddess Collective

Hello Goddesses -

Is Your Inner Mean Girl Robbing You of Your Success?
3 super powered tools for turning your inner critic into your best business partner

by Christine Arylo and Amy Ahlers, co-founders of Inner Mean Girl Reform School

When you made the decision to start your own business, you probably got lots of advice on how to be successful, right? Solid advice like keep an eye on your expenses, create a marketing plan, put yourself out there as much as possible, etc.

But did anyone warn you that the biggest and most likely threat your business faces is not out there in the marketplace, but instead living and breathing inside of you?

Let us introduce you to your Inner Critic or Inner Mean Girl as we like to call it (or Inner Bully for all you guys out there). That negative, self-sabotaging, self-critical voice in your head tells you big fat lies like “You’re not good enough,” “If you try, you’ll probably fail,” or “You’ve got to work harder if you’re ever going to make this business fly.”

Your Inner Mean Girl / Inner Bully is the slave driver, achievement junkie, doing addict, perfectionist and wishful thinker that keeps you working like a dog, doing all the work yourself, and spending money, time, and energy in the wrong places. It’s the voice that makes you feel less happy and successful than ever.

Here’s the truth; you can have the best strategies, the most stellar product, but if you don’t have the right mindset you will fail, and you’ll exhaust yourself in the process!  Or maybe you’ll get lucky and reach your goals but be unable to feel successful or enjoy everything you worked so hard for. Your Inner Mean  / Bully just loves to rob you of celebrating!

The best way to keep your mindset healthy, and your Inner Mean Girls / Bullies off your back is to know their toxic tricks and have an antidote in your back pocket to use when you find yourself in their grips.

After coaching entrepreneurs from all walks of life for over 17 years combined, we’ve developed processes that put your Inner Mean Girl and Inner Bully in their place.

Here are 3 of our favorites for shifting your mind and securing your success!

#1 Toxic Trick.  Comparison
You find yourself going crazy, comparing yourself to every one else who is more successful, farther along, or more together than you.  Your Comparison Queen / King is using the Inferiority Complex on you! Antidote: Compliment the person you are comparing yourself to. Dig deep and find the inspiration. Yes, that’s right, reach out and tell that person how inspired you are by who they are and what they are doing. You’ll be amazed at the new connections you’ll create!

#2 Toxic Trick.  Future Tripping
You achievement junkie is filling your head with lies like “When I hit that goal, then I’ll be happy!” or “When I hit 6 figures (or 7 figures or more!), I can finally relax.” Your Inner Mean Girl/Inner Bully has you running so fast to the future that you’re too exhausted to enjoy today.  Antidote: Get grateful for what you do have and get happy in the present. When you find your mind future tripping, stop, drop and do 10 gratitude statements. Write or say aloud what you appreciate about today. Notice how you can enjoy the moment!

#3 Toxic Trick.  Unrealistic Expectations
You’ve just started your day and you already have a To-Do List a mile long that you are counting on getting done today. Deep down you know it’s humanly impossible to accomplish them all. But your doing addict has got you convinced that you can get through the list. So you work like an energizer bunny gone mad all day, and come 8pm you’ve not accomplished half of what you set out to. You set yourself up to fail, and now you beat yourself up with the “I’m a loser” lie. Antidote: Take a pause and get real. When you feel yourself moving into overdrive to get it all done, pause, take a deep breath and decide on the 3 things that are most important for you to complete today. In your mind, move the rest to another day. Get real and honest with how much is reasonable for you to do today. With only those 3 things on your mind, you’re guaranteed to set yourself up for success, and find time to have a personal life too!

Here’s the truth – you have a one-of-a-kind gift to give the world through your great work. And if you don’t take care of yourself, if you try to do it all alone, and if you don’t enjoy the process along the way, you will never be able to reach your full potential.

We invite you to try these antidotes PLUS get started on transforming your own Inner Mean Girl.

The Goddess Collective - Code Of Love

The Goddess Collective is here to celebrate you, to support your vision in the world, and to create a safe loving networking community.

The Goddess Collective Code of LOVE :

We create a safe place for you to step into your own self authority and strength – You don’t have to be perfect here. It is a playground for your own self expression in presenting, vending, and promoting your creation to the community.
Each Goddess is accountable and stands in their own integrity – We prefer no gossip, negative judgment, or unhealthy competition. The preferred practice is to be accountable for our own emotions and any shadow material that may come up.  If we are judging someone harshly or in unhealthily competition with others, dare to take a look.  Something within you might be trying to get your attention. If you’re really stuck in something, take action. Ask yourself, who in the Goddess Collective could support my process?
Practice seeing the beauty in one another. Share positive compliments whenever it is a clear reflection of your truth. Sharing growing edge feedback can be important. What is growing edge feedback? Growing edge feedback is where you see how another could improve their business, presentation etc.   If you feel compelled to share growing edge feedback with someone, ask them first and always start with what works. For example, Sharon I really enjoyed your public speaking and I had a thought. Are you in a space for growing edge feedback? Every Goddess is empowered to say yes, no maybe later. This provides safety for all.
May we all shine bright in our light as we share it with the world.

Ma - The Sacred Sound of the Divine Feminine

MA
Nicolle Aleman

We open every Goddess Collective meeting by joining hands and toning the sound vibration MA, the simplest sound form of the Divine Mother, three times. This group chant is a beautiful experience to participate in, an easy way for all the Goddess women in our meetings to connect in with each other and the Divine Mother. By joining our voices, we are also joining our energies and setting the tone for each meeting. For me, it’s a moment where my spirit crosses from the light, joyous buzz of networking and socializing into a beautifully sacred, grounded realm. The sound reverberates in my chest, rattling my heart, lifting and weaving with the other women in the circle. I feel centered and calm and connected after the MA chant is completed, refreshed and eager to begin.
I can’t be the only one who feels this way. Thousands of people join in this chant throughout the year at appointed times in reverence to The Great Mother, the living, breathing, beautiful Earth that we walk and sing and live upon. MA. Without Whom none of us could exist and certainly could not survive.
Recently, I began to wonder about the origins of the sound form MA and why it and so many derivatives of it are used in our world to refer to…well, our moms! MA is the root sound for “mother” in hundreds of different cultures, all speaking various languages. It’s the first real word that many humans utter around copious mouthfuls of drool when we’re cute, bouncy little infants. It’s a commonplace, every day word, the call to which millions of mothers around the world respond to. Some experts explain the use of “Ma” and similar words within so many different cultures around the globe simply as a learned behavior born out of the repeated syllables that babies babble away before they begin to actually speak with any real understanding. “M” is one of the easiest sounds for a baby to make, thus many experts believe that babies started saying “Ma” and parents attached meaning to it by encouraging them to use the sound as a moniker to refer to themselves.
But to me (and perhaps to you) it just feels like there’s more to MA than that. MA feels and sounds ancient, holy, and healing when I chant it. “MA is a calling to, an honoring of, a beckoning to the Divine Feminine...the Mother of us all,” says Marta Maria Marraccini, Founder and Facilitator of the Goddess Collective, LLC.

Our ancestors would agree. Anthropologists have long established that during the Upper Paleolithic period when the Goddess ruled the religious roost, before it was understood that human conception required participation of both the male and female sexual counterparts, females were seen as the sole producer of children and were thus referred to as “the giver of life.” Merlin Stone writes in When God Was a Woman, In these Upper Paleolithic societies – in which the mother may have been regarded as the sole parent of the family, ancestor worship was apparently the basis of sacred ritual, and accounts of ancestry were probably reckoned only through the matriline – the concept of the creator of all human life may have been formulated by the clan’s image of the woman who had been their most ancient, their primal ancestor and that image thereby deified and revered as Divine Ancestress.”

The Mother aspect of the Goddess is the mature, passionate, and powerful Woman who heals herself and those around Her. She is creative, fertile, dynamic, and fiercely protective of those and that which She has birthed. When we connect in with Her, we are tapping a deep and primitive part of ourselves that can move mountains and calm the wildest storms. She is the purest expression of our sacred and creative selves. The intention behind the Goddess Collective is to “gather, create, celebrate, share and support each others’ visions in the world.” By calling out this Creative Mother in ourselves and each other, we reflect Her beauty back to the Goddesses around us, stepping into that powerful intention and strengthening it thousand-fold before sending it out in the world.
Ready? Sing it with me. MAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA!!!!!
The circle is ready. The Women are here. Let’s begin.
